The existing refectory building was refurbished to incorporate a large flat floor events space with catering and bar facilities.

The existing refectory building constructed in the 1960's suffered from a poor access particularly for the disabled. This was addressed during the refurbishment proposals with a new access being provided directly from Kings Road with an external feature lift and covered entrance area.

Meeting facilities were provided complete with exhibition spaces, cafe and social learning space.

Project value was approximately £2.5million and forms the first phase of development linking the Kings Road Centre with the existing Union Society Building.
